In Progress

Where unfinished words are allowed to become something.

Not everything begins with a polished stanza or a finished thought. Some pieces arrive as fragments, journal entries, questions, prayers, or a single line that refuses to leave.

This is where I keep them.

A glimpse into the pages still becoming, poems, reflections, observations, and pieces of a life being translated into language.

Poem 1

Change is inevitable

Can’t you see.

Tell me you agree.

No worries of past debris.

Poem 2

Good days are like a blooming sunflower or smelling a magnolia flower for the first time.

Grasping good days.
Holding them in a tight fist.
Clenching tight, bloody nails breaking into skin.

Good days are a necessity in the valley.

It gets dark and heavy here.

Pulling the light close to my heart.

ABBA is cherished here.
Even in the trenches,
His light shines brighter.

A narrow city street at blue hour, slick with recent rain, where a single wooden café table is positioned beneath a glowing window. On the table sits a charcoal-gray notebook, a closed vintage brass pen on top, and a folded pair of tortoiseshell reading glasses. Inside the café window, shelves of poetry and literary journals blur into a warm, amber haze. Reflections of street murals and faint neon signage shimmer on the pavement. Shot from a slightly elevated angle in photographic realism, with the table in sharp focus and the city softly blurred, the mood is introspective, cinematic, and gently melancholic, suggesting poetry unfolding amid the urban evening.

Why I Share Unfinished Work

Here, I open the door to unfinished lines and shifting prayers, inviting you into the quiet workshop where healing, faith, and becoming stay tender, imperfect, and beautifully in motion.

About

Pages From the Becoming

These fragments, titles, and nearly-finished poems trace the work beneath the work—revision, doubt, faith, and return. Each note shares where I am now, and where the piece is reaching toward.
